When I speak to people and say I am writing a series of novellas, they look at me strangely. I often forget some people don't know there is a difference dependent upon word count.
Typically, for the general lay person, I explain there are flash fiction, short stories, novellas and then novels.
Right now I have finished two novellas in the science fantasy genre. I enjoyed writing in a different venue and will write the third, perhaps even four novella based on the main character.
